About Carrie S. Happ-Smith, M.D.

Dr. Happ-Smith is a board-certified Ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery as well as LASIK and PRK. She is also specialty trained in Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy for dry eyes and BOTOX injections. She received her undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University and attended medical school at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Happ also holds a Master’s in Biological Sciences from Drexel University. Dr. Happ-Smith joined OPI in 2015 upon completion of her Ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. She is well known for her medical and surgical expertise and her warm, personable bedside manner and has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” by Cleveland Magazine. Dr. Happ is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
