We have performed thousands of laser eye procedures for patients from across Northeast Ohio. That is thousands of people whose lives have been improved by the incredibly effective—and highly precise—outcome of this type of vision correction.
So what does 2023 hold for LASIK surgery?
Enhancements to Advanced Technology
Like all technology-based procedures, we anticipate regular improvements and enhancements as time goes on, and the team at LVC remains at the forefront of those changes. For example, LASIK has come a long way since the early days of using a microkeratome—a mechanical cutting tool—to cut the corneal flap in the patient’s eye. Today’s procedures are completely bladeless, relying on advanced laser technology. At LVC, we use the WaveLight FS200 Femtosecond Laser and the WaveLight EX500 Excimer Laser. While we will handle the lasers, of course, we invite you to learn more about this bladeless LASIK technology and how it can deliver superior vision correction results.
Rising Popularity of Monovision LASIK
This specialized LASIK surgery technique is designed to eliminate the need for bifocal reading glasses. In this type of LASIK, one eye is corrected for distance vision and the other eye is corrected for near vision. Patients who have experienced age-related nearsightedness and been prescribed bifocal lenses may benefit from this procedure. If you are interested in Monovision LASIK, we encourage you to speak with your doctor to first explore contact lenses that provide this type of vision correction. This gives your doctor an opportunity to assess how your eyes adjust and how your vision is affected, and is common practice before deciding to recommend a patient for Monovision LASIK.
Continued Satisfaction of LASIK Patients
One thing has not changed and will not change: Our patients are very satisfied with the results of their LASIK surgery. We can’t resist sharing just a few recent reviews.
“From the moment we sat down at my initial consultation to the moment I left after the surgery, I experienced nothing but professionalism and kindness! Everything was explained to me in detail and the fact that I didn’t have to wait very long for my scheduled appointment was a bonus. My vision is better than perfect; I see 20/15 and my life has changed for the better. I highly recommend the folks at LVC— you won’t regret it.”
“3 years ago I left a 5-star review. I just deleted that review so I could leave an updated version. I had LASIK done here ~3 years ago. To this day it was the best decision I’ve ever made. My vision has been perfect ever since and I had very minimal side effects after. Once healed the side effects went away. The people were great. They did all of my pre-op and post-op exams. I never once felt like I was being sold something and they always seemed to really care about my safety and end results. I will always be happy to recommend them to friends, family, and anyone else.”
“I had a great experience at LVC. I felt fully prepared going into the surgery and both doctors were friendly and professional. My vision has been great so far, it’s truly amazing being able to see without glasses or contacts!”
As you look to the new year, are you considering LASIK surgery? So many patients following their LASIK surgery tell us in hindsight, I should have done this years ago.
Don’t wait any longer to discover the difference of LASIK. Start 2023 off with the best gift you can give yourself: Clear vision without reliance on glasses or contacts.
